Since 2008, Fiction in Motion never stopped getting the attention of the industry by working hard and writing the best songs they can.
Fiction in Motion gained its popularity by its catchy, vibrant songs and increased its important fan base by the means of social networks such as MySpace, Facebook, Twitter. The band was also invited to feature on one of the popular television music channel MusiquePlus’ shows.
Safe in the hands of Montreal-based music producer Luc Tellier (The New Cities, The Mission District), Fiction in Motion recorded their first EP in late 2009.
With 1000 units sold independently in only 6 months after the release of their first EP in 2010, the band rapidly acquired experience through its participation in several contests winning “The Most Beautiful Rock Of Quebec” and by making the finals for the “2nd Skin Rock Contest”.
Since then, Fiction in Motion has opened for the Canadian bands The New Cities and The Mission District and has completed a tour in different venues and festivals. They also booked themselves a tour of nearly 30 highschools throughout the Quebec and Ontario area.
In spring 2011, the band landed in Vancouver to record new material with Brian Howes (Hinder, Boys Like Girls, Hedley, Simple Plan). During their visit at Van Howes Studios, the band had the chance to be produced by the SOCAN award winner producer. Couple of weeks after, the band did the same, but this time with the Los Angeles based produceur Erik Ron, who previously worked with acts such as Good Charlotte, Panic At The Disco, Neon Trees and many others. While on the west coast, they showcased their talent by playing live shows.
Fiction in Motion focuses on finding the best ways to increase their fan base. With over 200 shows played in the last two years, they keep spreading the word by doing many interviews and appearances in various medias and doing live performances at radio stations. The popular website ''Kings Of A&R'' helped the band getting their song ''Leaving'' being featured in commercials for Musique Plus and VrakTv.
As for the upcoming summer, the pop rock band will keep a busy schedule performing at various shows and events as well as doing what they excel at : songwriting!
